http://dianemckinney.com/children/merry-christmas/Theresa and Gene were such an amazing couple. Getting married later in life they are enjoying things most of us are too busy to enjoy when we are younger. They are traveling, enjoying grandchildren and taking in the most of every day. Their wedding was no different. Theresa had so many special small details that made it so personal for both of them. From her mother’s wedding picture and collar of her wedding gown around her flowers to the candles behind where they said their vows in remembrance of those who could not be with them. But those who were there can say it was a beautiful and fun wedding. The band was AWESOME and I usually am not a big band person for wedding but these guys were GREAT. And the Matthews House with all it’s charm and sweet care taker Nina who makes everything absolutely perfect to a T! Theresa and Gene also had such supportive and loving friends and family who I enjoyed meeting immensely! This wedding was a true joy to photograph. For my last wedding of the year it was the perfect way to say goodbye to 2011. Merry Christmas Gene & Theresa. I am sure you are not quite feeling like Christmas in Hawaii but I would sure switch with you! ; )
Enjoy the video. I will have pictures posted soon! : )

http://dianemckinney.com/matthews-house-cary-nc/theresa-genes-wedding-matthews-house-wedding-photography/When I first met Megan and Daniel to talk about photographing their wedding, it became clear to me that it was meant to be! They are passionate about three things: their alma mater – the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Beatles…and each other! As we toured the UNC campus and took pictures at all their favorite spots – the Old Well, Coker Arboretum, Franklin Street, Megan and Daniel never stopped smiling. Or laughing. Or talking. Or kissing. The marquee at the Varsity Theater advertised “Crazy Stupid Love”. But for these two, it’s more “All You Need is Love.” Even their Goldendoodles, Hudson and Matthews, took part in the fun. Megan and Daniel, I simply cannot wait to share your wedding day in May, 2012. I have a feeling there will be lots of love, laughter…and maybe a few Beatles songs!

http://dianemckinney.com/portraits/2021/I met Kasey about 6 months ago at another fabulous wedding I was shooting. When I got an email from my bride saying Kasey was getting married and looking for a photographer I was so excited! I remembered how cute she and her fiance were from the rehearsal dinner. So needless to say I was thrilled when she chose me to photograph her wedding. They live in Charlotte so we wanted to shoot it in their home town. I had a ball running all over downtown looking for cool spots to shoot. I love it when I get to play some where new and the two being so cute just brought the whole shoot together. Thanks Katherine for the introduction! And Kasey and Jeff – CAN’T WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR!!!

http://dianemckinney.com/portraits/kasey-jeff-engagement-portrait-session-engagement-photography/Little baby Sofia was so sweet. Her Mommy & Daddy had their wedding pictures taken by one of our photographers so they found it fitting to bring their new little one to us to take her 1 month old pictures. She was an absolute angel. I do so love photographing newborns. They are just so little and cute. It gives me my little baby fix! This was a true joy baby photo session!

http://dianemckinney.com/babies/baby-sofia-raleigh-baby-newborn-photography/What a joy it was to shoot this wedding. The weather and the timing for the light couldn’t have been more perfect. The bride and groom both looked amazing and I think the thing I love the most is how I could see the brides eyes glisten with tears in the sunlight as they read their vows to each other. They had so many cute wedding details everywhere and a fun idea to have a character artist! I wish I had time to get mine done. What a fabulous idea. This amazing couple shares such love for each other. I hope they look at these pictures from their wedding day for years to come and remind themselves of how much in love they were this day. Congrats you two! Love you!!

What a beautiful wedding. There are so many details that went into this wedding. With Pat & Priscilla (event planner for http://www.orangerieevents.com) working together to make this wedding glitter and sparkle! It was just gorgeous from the candlelit ceremony to the rockin’ band. The couple soaked up every moment of their wedding day with their family and friends. Congrats Pat & Dan!
