Seriously this was a dream wedding to photograph.  First Katherine and Mike were the sweetest couple.  They have been dating for years and seem to fit each other like a glove.   They were always more concerned with how everyone else was doing than themselves and that includes us.  Both had such charm and grace.  The families were not only as nice but hilariously fun.   We had a ball shooting them let me tell you!   And the Carolina Country Club with the amazing flowers and it’s history in the community was a dream not only to shoot but to work with during the wedding.   Gillian and I had a GREAT time!!! Wow! What an experience.  I have done wedding photography, infant photography, baby photography, family photography and even commercial photography.  I even did a shoot for Breakfast with Santa where I took pictures of the children on Santa’s lap.  But even that was pretty laid back since it wasn’t at the mall with huge lines.  I was fortunate to photography a MOST lovely bride Dawn Z who owns the DanzeZone dance studio in Garner.  Dawn runs an amazing studio.  I am not sure how many students she has but it has to be in the hundreds.  She puts on a MAJOR recital every year that is amazing.  The costumes are incredible and the dances adorable.  After shooting Dawn’s wedding she asked me if I would be interested in shooting her Dance Studio Pictures.  Well, I jumped at the chance.  Cuties all dolled up?! OF COURSE!  Well being used to portrait sessions that can last between 30 minutes and 2 hours it was a big change to do 2-3 children every 10 minutes.  You can just say I have a new respect for those school portrait photographers!  Enjoy!  I know I did. Aren’t they adorable?!  More later from the individual sessions.

I have absolutely be DYING to post these bridal pictures.   Katherine works at a horse farm that helps troubled teens. Working with the horses is one of the rewards for being responsible.  So when she said she wanted to shoot her bridal portrait with the horses I was in heaven!  Little did I know the farm would be so incredibly beautiful.  Oh and did I mention the bride was too?  To say the least the shoot was amazing and I am so excited the wedding was yesterday so I can finally get these out here. Katherine you are an absolute JOY to work with and we had SO much fun at the wedding.  (But more about that LATER!) ;  )  Have fun on your honeymoon and I will be back soon with a post from the wedding.

I have a growing trend with my brides and grooms to do what I call a Mr. Mrs. Session.   The day of the wedding is packed with vows to exchange, guests to greet, dances to dance and fun to be had but when it comes to pictures we do our best to get everything on that must have list.  Pictures with your bridesmaids, parents, grand parents, the group family shots and oh yes those beautiful romantic shots of the two of you.  And yes we do a great job at all of those.  But there is nothing like going out the next day while he still has his tux and you still have that just married glow and just spend sometime running around all over town shooting AMAZING pictures of the two of you.  After all it IS the TWO of you that got married right?  These are the pictures that you will stare at over and over again.  And if he isn’t as into it as you are then come out and trash the dress or celebrate it!   You’d be amazed how incredible your your images will be when you don’t have the stress of not getting your dress dirty before the wedding.  It’s just fun.  You don’t just want to wear it once do you?  So when you are looking at our packages think about including a Mr. & Mrs. Session or choosing it in lieu of a bridal or engagement session.  All portrait sessions are eligible for substitution without additional cost.  Make the MOST of that gorgeous dress and that handsome man you just married!
