I have been working on archiving all the old family photos for at least 10 years now, ever since my mother was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.  It’s a lot of work but the benefit is now all the family members can have copies of all the old family photos.  But my most recent archive presented quite a challenge.  First they were in the form of slides.  There are a few great companies that do a great job of archiving these but I had so many it would have been very expensive.  So I employed my local camera shop Southeastern Camera to help me figure a way to do it myself. Tony has always been my go to guy. They are awesome at solving crazy camera ideas which I seem to have no shortage of.  So what you will need is the following: Nikon ES-1 Slide copying adapter, 105 macro lens, a Nikon Auto Extension Ring PK-13 and then Tony did his magic and extended it with another ring to  make it a little longer to get it just right.  See below for my set up and some images.
