This wedding was so bittersweet for me as I am sure it was for Mom and Dad.  I met this family in 2005 when I shot their first daughter, Ashley’s, bridal portrait with the wedding to follow at Duke Chapel. Gorgeous!  At the reception the Grandfather noticed my airline tags on my tripod bag indicating Hartford Airport.  I had just been there the week before shooting my cousins wedding.  As it turns out he knew my Grandmother from when she would volunteer in the local New Britain General Hospital. How small of a world is that?! The wedding was amazing and the bride beautiful and I absolutely fell in love with this family.  They are probably the nicest people you will ever meet.  Fast forward two years later to 2008 and Leslie their next daughter gets married.  I travel to Virginia for this one. And just like Ashley’s it was GORGEOUS again! But this time the theme of the reception was in an old theatre. Incredible. This family knows how to do weddings!  So it’s been 8 years since Leslie’s wedding and now it’s little Kate’s turn to get married.  And just like her sisters she’s absolutely beautiful inside and out and just like her sisters has married an amazing man.  I was so touched at this wedding at how close the family is now and back then. Despite distance both sets of in-laws from my previous weddings with the other two sisters were there to celebrate as well. Kate chose an amazing  wedding setting.  The weather was gorgeous and being in October was PERFECT since the beach was not crowded and no one was sweating to death.  The decor was INCREDIBLE. No detail left untouched. Kerri with The Proper Setting did an amazing job as did Mom and Kate giving her their vision!! From the floating candles and flowers in the pool to the beautiful beachy table settings everything was perfect. But of course the most perfect part was watching this  beautiful couple enjoy every minute of their day.  And they did! I’m a little sad this is the last one but after seeing all those beautiful children from Ashley and Leslie’s marriages and I’m sure Kate’s to come maybe I’ll be back when they are ready to  get married! In the meantime one of the reason’s I love Facebook is because at least I can still keep in touch.

This family has captured my heart as so many do. I am grateful for such an amazing job. Thank you for bringing me into your family. It has been an absolute joy to be part of so many wonderful  memories. I just wish we were closer! <3 you guys and CONGRATS Kate & Herbie!!!!
