This is by far one of my favorite charities. They do such amazing work. They provide job training programs for homeless or previously incarcerated individuals and help them to find stable employment. Once that phase is complete those individuals interested in continuing to improve their lives will enter the life skills program that teaches them everything from budgeting, how to do your taxes, healthy living and eating to parenting skills. They even have a children’s program for the participants children so they too can learn to be a better student, friend and child. It’s a very worthy cause that has an extremely low recidivism back to their former life. This luncheon is to raise money to help fund the program throughout the year.
